News OUR NEW CHARITY FOUNDATION!!!
Bag4sport is launching its new charity status which includes the sponsorship of Tessa Sanderson Foundation's Paralympian - Shawn Sewell.
OLYMPIC star Tessa Sanderson visited Devizes to launch the charity set to raise cash for grass root sport and Paralympians.
Ms Sanderson, who struck gold in the Los Angeles Olympics of 1984 with her javelin throwing, was at The Bear Hotel on October 29 for the Bag4Sport launch party. Tessa gave a very inspirational speech in front of a large audience which included Devizes young sporting hopefuls such as Will Bissett, winner of the Road to Wimbledon national finals and Rhianna Andrews Great Britain Trampoline star. The Great Britain Rhythmic team also had a couple of the Parents attend and show a short display of the girls in action.
Tessa is working with discus thrower Shawn Sewell who will be one of the first people to benefit from the charity....
Mr Trusler also hopes to appoint three trustees who will help to oversee the work of the charity. He said: “I hope there will be people who have business or charity experience who will volunteer for these positions. I believe there are probably people who would like to become involved in a worthwhile cause at this new and exciting stage.”
The charity has already had support pledged from the Devizes branch of LloydsTSB and accountants Charlton Baker. http://www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/news/9276124.Tessa_offers_bags_of_help/
